Utah adVANture

My first adVANture of 2022 was spectacular!

The holidays were a mixed bag of emotions as it is for many. A trip to visit my childhood friend who recently moved to Utah seemed in order. I was excited and nervous (as usual) to get back on the road. Planning for and putting adVANtures on my calendar is good for me. A new perspective always improves my mood.

In case you were wondering…

Day 1

Day one campsite: Sportsman’s Beach Campground, Nevada

Day 2

Making my way across Nevada, the” Neva-ending” state.

Lunch time! Tonopah RV’s recommendation did not disappoint.

BBQ Salad with Pulled Pork. Tasty but not so great as a leftover 😜

Tonopah Mining Company

Night 2 was spent at the Tonopah RV Resort… not to pretty, but it got the job done! Hence no pictures ;-) Campsites along my route were scarce.

Day 3

More of the “Neva-ending” State. I made it to Elaine’s around 4 pm.

Day 4

Elaine and I had a wonderful lunch at the Xetava Cafe!

Friends since four years off age ❤️ I’m guessing we were 6 here.

A little walk after lunch at Pioneer Park in St. George Utah.

I had to wait until I retired to get this shot!

Day 5

Get ready for REO Speedwagon at Tuachahn Amphitheatre.

Day 6

Zion National Park

Such a treat!

Day 7

Day 8

The route home was a little longer, but definitely offered more gas stations and campgrounds. I just wanted to get home, so only stayed the one night out. Since it rained all night, I have to say, it was great to have the electrical hook up. I could run my space heater as long as I wanted. Minersville Campground near Beaver, Utah gets a big thumbs up from me.
