They don’t call it ‘Big Sky’ for nothing!

Hello all! I hope you are surviving these unsettling times of fires, fear and frustration. I'm learning a lot about Stargazer and what she has to offer me, as well as what I'm made of, so to speak. This trip has been the longest and most enriching trip so far. With miles of time and no one to talk to, I thought a lot about my life. I thought about the people I've met over the years and how they've touched my life. I thought about all of the words I wish I could take back and meditated on regret. I thought about how I came to now and am actually looking forward to where I'm going. I believe the Universe wastes nothing.

Brought along plenty of reading material and a journal to help me through my wifi withdrawal.

Ahh, the rain; creating a beautiful Impressionism style painting.

Still on a learning curve with my inverter, I had to drive around for about 30 minutes to generate enough charge to make coffee. Found a lovely pullout to stop and make it. Don't worry—with Derek's help I think I figured it out on my last night out :)

It was either SUP or hike today, and since there wasn't a soul in sight on the lake, I opted for the latter. This is a view from the Doris Creek Hike near my campground. I thought I was in for a moderate hike at only 3.2 miles, but somehow I doubled that getting mixed up in another trail, I finally learned it was the Alpine Trail.

Everything is so big—the sky, the mountains, the wind-swept flatlands—it sinks into you, it shapes your body and your dreams.
